The Evanston Art Center (EAC) is excited to welcome the public to an exhibition of works by Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA). From October 16th through November 9th, the Art Center will be exhibiting CAVA’s annual Later Impressions exhibition featuring over 71 pieces of artwork. CAVA invited three art professionals, Sharon Bladholm, Megan Williamson, and Dianne Kittle, to jury nearly 300 pieces of artwork. Sharon Bladholm is a sculptor and glass artist who has traveled and exhibited throughout the United States; Megan Williamson is a painter from the New York Studio School, has exhibited throughout the United States, and is a member of the Midwest Paint Group; Dianne Kittle is a photographer and photography instructor at the Chicago Botanic Gardens and the Highland Park Art Center.


The Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists is a nonprofit organization committed to promoting the talents of Chicago-area artists ages 50 and older. It is run by a diverse volunteer Board, representative of approximately 130 artists who are members of the organization. CAVA provides its members with opportunities to exhibit their work, educational programming, community outreach, and social networking events. Later Impressions is an annual fall juried exhibition made up of its member’s most recent work.

CAVA: Later Impressions will be exhibited in the main floor gallery of the Art Center. There will be an opening reception on Sunday, October 16th from 1-4pm at the EAC, which is free and open to the public.

Chicago Artist Kathryn L Novak Chosen for Art Display

Every month, the owners of Birch Road Cellar, the members only social club in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago, give one artist the opportunity to hang their artwork throughout the club. Artwork by Kathryn L Novak will be on display July 18 thru August12, 2016.

Ms. Novak will be showing 3 original paintings as well as one hand signed & embellished canvas print.
